                             Research a great math topic from around the world, such as:

• Pythagorean Theorem
• Negative Numbers
• Fibonacci Sequence
• The number “zero”
• Calculus
• Golden Ratio
• Pi
• Euclidian Geometry
• Trigonometry
• Algebra

or other math topics.

These all involve people from various countries around the world.  

Write an essay (typed or handwritten) about who invented it, what country the person was from, when, where, and why the math topic is important.  Explain what the topic is about and what it means.  The essay must be one page. This counts as two homework grades.
